SIES Kindergarten was started in the year 1972-73 with 4 students. Today the Kindergarten has a capacity of 560 students in all ( Nursery ,Junior and Senior)

There are 4 divisions of Nursery and 5 each in Junior and Senior Kg. Every division has 2 teachers and a helper.

The SIES Kindergarten has been following the teaching method called " Sishu Pahal” which means " Child initiated”. There are various corners like Library Corner, Kitchen Corner, Blocks Corner etc. The child makes the choice of whichever corner interests him. This gives the child the freedom to choose, express, initiate, concentrate and develop on one particular topic at a time.The teacher acts as a guide and facilitator.

The Kindergarten has a staff of 14 female teachers who are graduates and trained in child education (Ecced) and 7 female helpers.

The Kindergarten works in two shifts – 2 batches of Nursery and Senior Kg in the Morning and 2 batches of Nursery and Junior Kg in the Afternoon.

FACILITIES

Various facilities are provided for the Kindergarten students which act as teaching tools and are helpful in their all-round development .

-Computer Lab:

The lab is equipped with 20 computers and each student is allocated one computer. Educational activities are given to the children on the computer which they are able to do independently.

-Sports:

The sports activities are conducted everyday in the school premises by HB Sports. Various interesting sports activites like gymnastics, drill, simple yoga are taught to the children.

-Smart Boards :

Each classrooms is provided with smart boards helping in reinforcement of the topics taught in the class.

-Multipurpose auditorium :

The auditorium is used for all school functions and celebrations.

-Play- area :

Exclusively for Kindergarten children. Merry-go-round, Trampoline, Slides etc are part of the play area.

-Bus Facility:

School bus facility is available to the nearby areas.

FESTIVALS

Takeaways are made, freehand drawing by the children, real time celebration like breaking dahi handi, playing Holi with organic colours are part of the celebrations. All children participate with full enthusiasm.
