Sports and Games
The weightage is given to the physical well being of our students and in this direction all types of popular sports and games are planned and specialised coaching is provided round the year in :-
1. Chess
2. Table–Tennis
3. Cricket
4. Carom
5. Basket Ball
6. Badminton
7. Athletics
8. Yoga
9. Martial arts – Karate, Judo, Tai–Kwan–Do.
The School is proud to have reigning Champs at Zonal level and State levels who have successfully bagged prizes every year. We have an outstanding popular Badminton Champ Rhea Pillai, who is selected for the All India National Championship to be held in may 2007 by the Badminton Association of India.

This year too, we have an impressive haul of prizes for the remarkable performance of our young budding sportsmen and sportswomen at the Inter-School Competitions. This testifies the talent and ability of our young students.
  • Bombay YMCA organised their state level annual athletic meet-2006 at university sports ground, Marine lines. Nadir Nayan Rajan of X-A, Singh Pradeep of X-A, Devadiga Omkar Lalit of X-B and Nadar Venkatesh Arjunan of VIIIth won bronze medal in the under 16 category.
  • Govt. of Maharashtra, Department of sports and youth welfare, Mumbai district organized various inter-school competitions for the academic year 2006-2007.
The following students were the winners:-
Devadiga Omkar Lalit of X-B won first prize in carom and was qualified for Maharashtra State Level.
Reshik Kannan of X-C won 4th Prize in under-16, district level chess competition and was selected for Mumbai Division Level.
M. Parameshwaran of VI-A also won fourth in district level yoga competition and was qualified for Mumbai Division Level.
Nadar Nayan Rajan of X-A, Nadar Logaraj of X-A, Devediga Omkar of X-B and Nadar Venkatesh Arjunan of VIII-E won Silver Medal in district level, Under-16, 4 X 100mt. relay.
In the district level, under 17, 4 x 100 meters. Relay, Nadar Nayan Rajan of X-A, Thomas Dickson Raju of X-A, Ayyappan Ramaswamy of VIII-C and Nadar Venkatesh Arjunan of VIII-E won the Silver Medal.
In the Taek-Won-Do (Inter-School Championship) organized by the Government of Maharashtra, Dept. of sports and youth welfare:
  • Bhat Atmaj Kumar of X-C and Martin Luise of IX-C won gold medals at district level. They were qualified for Mumbai Division Level.
  • Mukhilan C of X-A, Arnold V of X-D, Chavan Kastub of V-F and Gupta Arun. B of V-D won silver medal at district level.
In the Badminton district level inter-school competition organized by Govt. of Maharashtra, Dept. of sports and youth welfare:
  • Riya Pillai of VII-E, Tanmayee Kher of VII-B and Anuradha Rao of VII-A qualify as runner ups.
In the Mayor Cup Taek-Won-Do Championship organized by Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation:
  • Bhat Atmaj Kumar of X-C and Chawan Kastub of V-F won gold medals
  • Martin Luise of IX-C won silver medal
  • C. Mukhilan of X-A won bronze
In the Under -13 Badminton competition organized by ‘The Lions Club of Mulund’.
  • Riya Pillai of VII-E emerged victorious
  • She is the runner up in the Under-16 level.
The Bombay Keraliya Samaj organized competitions on the occasion of their Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.
The proud Winners were:
1. In the Open category Omkar. L. Devadiga of X B stood 1st in carom.
2. In a competition organised by 'Bombay Burns Association' in Khalsa College ground on 21st January 2007, Divyanand. J. Shetty of VII-E won gold medal in long jump, gold and silver medal in 100mt. running and 2nd position in shot put.
In the 'Harris Shield Cricket Tournament' organized by Mumbai Schools Sports Association, our students created a landmark by reaching the Quarter final. Akshay Ghorpade of IX-E, Avit Singh of IX-E and Faiz Ansari of VIII-A have achieved a distinction that few youngsters can boast of.
Vignesh. V. of VIIth-F participated in the 3rd World Shotokan Karate Championship and was awarded Silver Medal in the 8-10 yrs age category.
In the Under-14 level, Parv Kothari of VIII E stood 1st and Sachin. K.S. of VII-B stood 2nd in carom.
In the Under-14 Chess Competition Shrinath K. Palaye of VIII-C stood 1st and Pranay Jayant of VIII-A stood 2nd.
. In the Under-15, Inter School Cricket Tournament organised by 'Matunga Gujarathi Seva Mandal', Matunga, Avit Singh of IX-E created a landmark by winning the 'Man of the match' title. Rajesh Murugan of VII-C also left everyone spell bound by his batting and bowling performance.
Nadar Venkatesh Arjunan won gold medal in the under-16 100mt running organized by Punjabi Association at Guru Nanak School.
